I would like to enable slave to slave communication between 2 Ethercat devices, but the data types of the source and the destination are mismatched. The source PDO is a 128 bit array and the destination PDO is an 8 bit array. I am new to Ethercat and I tried using the Expert Process Data tab on the source slave to create a new PDO that only reads 8 bits, but it caused that slave to fail. Is there any way to create some kind of Virtual PDO or otherwise enable slave to slave in this scenario?
