  • AVIOTEC Fire Detection (on AVIOTEC e-server)

AVIOTEC e-server is a small on-premise edge server (ctrlX CORE X3) enabling a camera flexible video fire detection. The solution is operated and configured within the AVIOTEC Fire Detection App. As we continue to explore advancements in technology and listen to our customers’ evolving requirements, the edge-server solution offers greater adaptability. It integrates seamlessly with existing camera networks and later with next releases into video management systems and remote access. The solution provides a smooth integration of a fire detection into the customers´ security environment allowing a parallel use to the content analysis functions of the cameras. Key markets for AVIOTEC, such as production and logistics, public buildings, and transportation can benefit from even more targeted solutions. Why? Our solution also offers flexibility in camera selection, allowing users to choose from a variety of ONVIF-compliant Bosch-tested IP cameras for specific use case requirements. Unmatched detection performance by deep learning algorithms deliver high fire detection accuracy and robustness. The edge-server solution combines rapid edge processing with robust edge-server support on a flexible, high-performance, future-proof platform. It is designed for simplicity and with extended features: Flexible recording Live View Scheduler Individual I/O configuration Watchdog & camera supervision System documentation via PDF export Event-based settings Config Import / Export Internal logbook incl. fire alarms Export of records via mp4 (with & without alarm marks) 25 detection configurations per camera Mask setting incl. sensitivity level Expert mode for non- Bosch tested cameras External storage device connectable Required Software for the AVIOTEC e-server solution To commission and operate the AVIOTEC e-server, the following software components are required. You can download all necessary files using the download function on this page. AVIOTEC Fire Detection (mandatory) Provider: Bosch Building Technologies (BT) Target: ctrlX CORE Device This app contains the core software for Bosch's video-based fire detection. It processes video streams from connected cameras to detect smoke and flames at the earliest possible stage. The app manages the entire system, including event logging, alarm notifications, and system status. Included in Download Zip file: AVIOTEC Fire Detection App Configuration File README & Configuration Guide (txt) EULA & OSS (Written Offer & Installation Instructions) ctrlX OS - EtherCAT Master (mandatory) Provider: Bosch Rexroth Target: ctrlX CORE Device This app integrates a full-featured EtherCAT Master into the ctrlX CORE control system, enabling high-performance, real-time communication with EtherCAT slave devices. For the AVIOTEC e-server solution, it provides the necessary I/O modules to handle event-based triggers (inputs) and to signal trouble or alarm states (outputs). ctrlX I/O Engineering (mandatory) Provider: Bosch Rexroth Target: Desktop PC This engineering tool is used for the planning, configuration, and parameterization of ctrlX IO components. It ensures the seamless integration and commissioning of the I/O system within the ctrlX AUTOMATION environment. For this specific use case, it enables the scanning and implementation of the required input and output modules via the EtherCAT App. ctrlX WORKS (optional) Provider: Bosch Rexroth Target: Desktop PC As the central engineering suite for the ctrlX AUTOMATION platform, ctrlX WORKS – Engineering provides all the necessary tools for configuration, commissioning, and diagnostics of your ctrlX OS-based system. ctrlX OS SystemImage Provider: Bosch Rexroth Target: ctrlX CORE Device This file contains the complete software image, including the operating system, for the AVIOTEC e-server hardware. It is used to install or restore the server's full functionality. Note: The AVIOTEC e-server is pre-installed with image version 3.6, which is required to support the AVIOTEC Fire Detection App. This is important to consider for future system updates. • Cognibotics - Juliet & Romeo®

The Juliet&Romeo® application for ctrlX OS is actually a software container (snap) component holding: the Romeo virtual machine for executing byte code produced by the Juliet compiler the Juliet compiler the Devenv communication software for supporting IDEs like Visual Studio Code drivers and software adaptations for ctrlX OS as the ctrlX Data Layer etc The full suite of Juliet&Romeo It holds a Visual Studio Code extension for development with Juliet the Romeo runtime as WSL component so that one can work offline from the target system, a language server component for Juliet to get syntax help and auto completion the Juliet compiler All this is installable for free on any computer running Windows, with WSL, Linux and MacOSX as a VS Code installer called a .vsix file. The licensing is only bound to the Romeo runtime on a ctrlX OS system. Juliet&Romeo Juliet, a high-level, real-time robot programming language inspired by Julia. It is designed to simplify the development of complex automation systems by providing: Powerful, expressive, modern programming language Safe real-time multitasking Automatic memory management Support for motion control, sensor integration, AI, and user interfaces A unified syntax for describing entire automation systems Romeo, a real-time virtual machine that executes Juliet programs. It ensures deterministic behavior, low-latency responses, real-time garbage collection and safe execution of tasks, making it suitable for industrial automation applications. VS Code integration, an extension for Juliet&Romeo that holds all above listed components to form a modern IDE solution with extensible debugging features for automation and robot programs and an extension for visualizing robot and automation hardware with movements visible fully integrated with control systems from ctrlX. Note that the Romeo runtime distributed for offline purposes doesn’t require a license since it is not running on a ctrlX OS system. On the other hand it is according to license agreements not possible to use anywhere else than on the installed system for development purposes.
