TLS for self written REST interfaces

A customer have developed their own REST interfaces with Flask and FastAPI. Can self-written services be verified with TLS certificates? Do they have to create their own certificates for this or do they have to use one of the Rexroth certificates? They would be interested in the exact procedure and what they need to consider.

Thanks!

Yes, the service can utilize the CtrlX OS certificate stores and TPM. You can find documentation on this topic here.

If the endpoints are using the CtrlX reverse proxy, they should automatically utilize the web server certificate stores. The web server must be added as a CA in the client browser. See article on establishing an HTTPS connection with the CtrlX webservers here.
