I wonder if someone has experience with Profinet device which is connected to the ctrlX CORE's EtherCAT Master via some bridging device. I know there exist some devices which can convert communication from ECAT master to PN slave. Can this work with ctrlX CORE?
Other solution would be Profinet master on our ctrlX CORE, even better would be modular version -> to have an IO card which can serve as PN master.

Hi,
there are several ECAT Devices easy to integrate in our system, means for instance scanning by the ctrlX-IO Eng and including in the configuration is done easy.
But since the config of the more complex device e.g. Gateways are much more complicated it will most likely not work out of the box. Depending on the complexity we will arrange the integreation in our config-tools. Face currently similar topic trying to integrate a CANOpen Gateway provided on Beckhoff portfolio.
A list of supported devices will be published in the next days by RuD.
