OPCUA server

Hello,

I am a bit lost what licenses and apps I need exactly.

Last time we used the OPC server app and license to setup the communication between the hmi and plc and this works. But our local salesperson said that we don't need the additional OPC server license, because he told me that WebIQ handles data retrieval with its own handler. But I doubt that this is the case and if yes, how exactly do we set this up.

Can you help me with this?

The general communication of the WebIQ HMI is via an implemented OPC UA client. So you need an OPC UA server somewhere to provide the data that should be viewed.

You could add other communication possibilities by hand like REST, MQTT, ..., but these would be not in standard implemented.
