SAFEX-C.15 Pulse P1/P2 Terminal Selection

Hello,

The documentation suggests that the pulse outputs P1/P2 at XG32 pins 7 and 8 can be moved (to pins 1 to 6) or configured as outputs instead.

However from the software it does not appear as though this is possible.

Can the functionality of X32 pins 7 and 8 be changed?

your impression is right and thank you for asking here.

The hardware is prepared and capable to be configured in the way it is described (pin 1 to 8 configurable) and it has been foreseen from the very beginning. This is why the documentation covers this that long.
Due to the number of open issues the implementation inside the Configuration Software ctrlX SAFETY Engineering has been delayed several times.

Consequently only pin 7 and 8 are available as pulse outputs.
