This system runtime app is part of the basic firmware of the ctrlX CORE control and is delivered pre-installed as standard. The system runtime app is not available separately, but can be updated individually in the engineering of the ctrlX CORE.
The Linux Ubuntu Core App contains the Linux based operating system of the ctrlX CORE. The user is provided with all the basic functions for the simplest handling of apps such as installation, deleting, configuration and updating. Focused on use in mobile applications, Ubuntu Core is especially resource-saving for the hardware. In order to optimize it for use in industrial applications and machines for automation, we have made the operating system real-time capable, so the controls can master and control the highly dynamic processes in industrial machines.
