I get this problem with 1.08 . Everything worked fine except the IDE execution.
Opening the IDE from the left sidebar resulted in a kind of "folder view" which had nothing to do with expected IDE workspace.

The problem was that after the update teh Python app was not installed.
You can use the IDE, but running the script will need the correct Python version installed on the ctrlX.
Beware of that.
