How can we establish communiaction between ctrlx drive(XCS2-W0023ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN4NNNN0NN) and EAL library running on laptop? Is it via the Multi Ethernet port(ET) or usb via the display box?
At the moment the customer has got profinet communication protocol activated in the drive. Will we need to change this to establish comms?

you can use any IP address of the drive which is reachable via TCP/IP from your pc.
A connection via panael/USB will always work - therefor you can connect to the IP address 192.168.222.x
If you want to connect via ET interface directly you have to disable EtherCAT communication. When EtherCAT is active you need to use at least a EtherCAT Master to establish a connection trough the control via EoE.
