When I try and take the ethercat bus to 4ms instead of the default 2ms I get the error that I cannot exceed 2ms. My application does not need 2ms and this is taxing the processor unneccesarily. Is there a way to have a higher cycle time for Ethercat?

At the moment the EtherCat fieldbus cycle time is fixed to 2ms. We are working on this to bring it up mid or end of this year.
The EtherCatĀ itself does not produce high load to the CPU. This only happens if other application s like big PLCĀ programs or own apps are directly bound to it.
