Is there anything planned to have a CtrlX CORE (embedded or in a drive) to be able to send UART signals to stepper motors ? It's a project regarding the control of stepper motors on a small 3d printer.

Depending on your target topology ctrlX CORE can send data via RS232/RS485 (e.g. via a S20-RS-UNI, see this topic) that is used for UART.
Or would you like to directly connect the motor to the ctrlX CORE or IO?
