WebIQ - Browsing of variables, arrays & structures in OPC UA

Requirements

First of all, you must have successfully established an OPC UA communication between WebIQ and the PLC app.

Step-by-Step guide

Step 1

Compile the symbol configuration with all the variables and structures you want to exchange with the PLC app.

Step 2 (for variables & arrays)

From the Process Data Manager, select the tab Variables and click on Browse.

Under Objectes/Datalayer/plc/app/Application/sym/{nameGlobalVariableList}/{nameVariableArray}, right-click on the variable you want to exchange and click on Create Child Variables.

When the array is added, the array elements are displayed under the list Variables and Items.

Step 2 (for structures)

From the Process Data Manager, select the tab Structures and click on Browse.

Under Objectes/Datalayer/plc/app/Application/sym/{nomeGlobalVariableList}/{nameStruct}, right-click on the entire structure you want to exchange and click on Create Child Variables.

When the structure is added, the elements composing the structure are displayed under the list Variables and Items.

Step 3

Items can now be linked to widgets.
