Hi,
is there a current howto for connecting an EtherNet/IP adapter to the ctrlX Core X3? I have found 2 howtos for PROFINET, but none for EtherNet/IP.
I assume that the procedure is roughly the same as for PROFINET, but just to be on the safe side....
Howto for EtherNet/IP communication available

1) Install the add on by opening your PLC Engineering->Tools->Add-on-installer
2)Click the Install Files in the add on installer and browse to the codesys packages, you will have to close CtrlX PLC Engineering for this
3) Open your project -> right click on the X3 -> add device -> Ethernet Adapter
4) Right click on the Ethernet adapter in your project tree -> add device -> E/IP Adapter
5) Right click on the EIP Adapter under the Ethernet adapter in the project tree -> add device -> E/IP Module
6) Clicking on the module you can now add your inputs and outputs in the "assemblies" (Consumed/Produced)
7) Finally click on the ethernet adapter (the top level ethernet adapter) and make sure you configure the IP address properly and select a network interface (XF10/XF11)
Should be good to go then
Post again if you have question
Edit:
Screenshots seem to be causing me some issues, uploading a pdf
