Do you know any update on WebIQ connecting with database directly (SQLserver, MySQL...)?
And how to create report which can export to excel file in WebIQ as well. Kindly share with me as well!

Communication to SQL: not out of the box, but when you can program JS. Have a look into the packages provided by node.js. There are many packages available for DB connection.
