It is possible to reset from ctrlX CORE but not directly. What I mean by this is you would have to send a bit from ctrlX CORE via Functional exchange (EtherCAT) to SAFEX. Then link this bit to a SAFEX output that is wired to a SAFEX input defined as Start / Reset like you did with the physical button.
The other ways to reset are:
Press SF40 on SAFEX (typically not convenient since SAFEX is in a closed panel)
Use PROFISafe network reset with SAFEX-C.15 uplink ports
I'm trying to execute backup and restore in the panel of ctrlX Drive. When I try the backup option (any of the three options), the panel freezes and seconds later resets, without making the backup.
I'm trying to execute backup and restore in the panel of ctrlX Drive. The Drive has SafeMotion and in the ctrlX manual I read in the firmware FWA-XD1-AXS-V-0504N-NN, backup and restore will work but it doesn't work.
The problem is the restore, the backup works perfectly but when I'm trying the restore , this message appears in the ctrlX panel: SMO active: Restorenotallowed.
I have checked how the axis is configured and it has Safemotion disabled and locked. So I don't understand why it doesn't work because the same active SMO message keeps appearing on the panel.
The versions that I have are these:
-ctrlX Drive Version: FWA-XD1-AXS-V-0504N-NN-01
-Panel Version: FWA-XD1-PAN-V-0116.02
-Language Version: FWS-XD1-LIN-EN_____-NN-V-0110
Also, I tried to execute the restore with the SafeMotion in active but it doesn't work again.
Finally, I tried to execute backup and restore in the same drive by the ctrlX Drive Engineering and it works correctly.
In your panel version FWA-XD1-PAN-V-0116.02 this feature "Restore of parameter files with Safe Motion (SMO) active" is not supported, yet. Get in touch with your technical contact to get the soon coming new panel firmware FWA-XD1-PAN-V-0118. Mind that this new panel firmware will request as well new language version files to be installed.
