I am reaching out regarding a problem I am currently facing in IndraWorks while using an external encoder RS32-O/360ER.11KB with the S20 special function module (2 incremental encoder inputs, S20-INC-2).
The red LED for 03 (Connector 3, incremental encoder 1) is lit, which indicates an encoder error.
My connections are as follows:
A1: 24V – Feed-in encoder supply
B1: GND – Reference potential of the supply voltage
Terminal point 2: Track A (incremental encoder 1)
Terminal point 12: Track B (incremental encoder 1)
Terminal point 22: Track Z (incremental encoder 1)
Terminal point 32: +5V DC encoder supply for incremental encoder 1
Since it is a single-ended encoder, I am using the Asymmetrical encoder type.
Could someone please guide me on what could possibly be causing the S20-INC-2 module to show an error?
