Our customer asked to have more information regarding the integration of dynamic libraries written in C into real-time code.
They developed a C code program ( part in real time and part not in real time ) they integrated in a B&R control up to now.
They ask if they could integrate their C code in a .dll or .so file inside CtrlX Codesys platform.
It's not clear to us whether the our CtrlX Codesys platform supported the integration of C code library ( dll or so files ) or not, which however is made available by standard Codesys, and since the use of dynamic libraries would greatly facilitate code migration, we would like check this aspect.
