Firewall configuration for MQTT

How do I need to configure the firewall on the ctrlX Core to allow sending data from the local Node-RED instance to a remote server via MQTT. Is port 1883 and 8883 outgoing sufficient or do I also need to allow incoming connections?

Hi,

I think for sending data from not Node-RED to the MQTT Broker, configuration of outgoings port are fine. If you also want to subscribe from this MQTT broker, then you would also need to configure the inbound direction.

One hint: Some broker use also Port 1884 for non-TLS connections.
