ctrlX Device Portal - How to download apps and licenses

Introduction

You have 3 options to download:

• Apps & Licenses (trial licenses are included)

• Apps only

• Licenses only (trial licenses are included)

Choose the option that best fits your workflow, then follow the corresponding upload steps to install on your ctrlX OS Core device.

ℹ️ Info

All apps must have a version selected before start the download. Some apps might not have versions available yet in our system — if that's the case go to the Collaboration Room or Store to download them

Download apps and licenses  

To download the apps and licenses from a device:

• Go to the device details page

• Click Download

• Select Apps and Licenses

↪ This option includes both the apps and the required licenses in a single ZIP file.

Download apps only

If you want to download one app specifically:

• Go to Apps & Licenses page from the menu

• Search for the app name you want to download

• Click on Download 

• Select the app version then Download 

If you want to download several apps from a device:

• Go to the device details page

• Click Download

• Select Apps 

• Click Download

↪ This option will download one .zip file with all the apps with the device serial number.

Download licenses only

If you want to download license file from one device:

• Go to the device details page

• Click Download

• Select Licenses

If you want to download license file from multiple devices:

• Go to Devices overview page

• Select the devices you want to download

• Click Licenses options and then Download

↪ This option will download one .zip file called Licenses that contain for each device a bin file with the device serial number.

Download licenses for Drives devices

For DRIVES devices all the Drive Parameter files that you have purchased will be available at ctrlX Device Portal.

You can find and download the file at the Apps & Licenses > ctrlX Drives licenses tab.

This page is only visible for users that have purchased this type of license.
