In order to allow the simple switchover of gear stages in mechanical gears the drive controlled oscillation function inside the drive is available.
Pre-requisite is that the function is enabled in the so called "Productivity" package.
Fig. 1: Enable drive controlled oscillation in "Productivity" package
In order to parameterize the function create the following parameter group (see as well in attachment) inside ctrlX DRIVE Egnineering:
Fig. 2: Parameter group to parameterize drive controlled oscillation
Set the parameters S-0-0213 to S-0-0215 according to your necessities. See sample as start values.
In setting the Bits 0 and 1 in parameter S-0-0190 to "1" the drive controlled oscillation is started. This should normally done by the control or a digital input assigned to this function in the digital inputs. The reaction of the drive is looking as following:
Fig. 3: Behavior of drive controlled oscillation
The speed is pendling by plus minus 5 rpm with an offset of 1 rpm. In this way the position is slightly moving to an increasing value. After the oscillation has started the gear stages should be externally pushed to each other in axial direction in order that the gears are meshing with each other. If this is the case, usually recognized that the gear stage were moved in the axial direction to the correct position, the command can be stopped in resetting the Bits 0 and 1 in parameter S-0-0190 to "0".
