We are using the Codesys Profinet Master to establish a Profinet Connection to a Siemens SINAMICs S120 Converter. (The gsdml file can be found here:PROFINET GSDML - SINAMICS S120 )
Scanning for the connected devices seems to work.
But as soon as we start the execution of the profinet the SINAMICS shows an error: " Error code CF81FD12 - Aborted: AR protocol violation"
We have not been able to find the reason for this error.
Can you support us to find the reason for the error?

There used to be problems with certification with this device, but this has been fixed since Profinet Version 3.3.1.0.
Otherwise, this error typically occurs when something is wrong with the request/response sequence of the RPC layer.
- for example because a firewall is swallowing part of the communication.
- or it is the RPC packets themselves that are faulty.
In both cases, however, to find the reason for the error, a Wireshark capture of the connection setup is needed.
Otherwise, there can not be said anything with certainty.
