CNC : gantry axes and DNC function

Hello folks,

Just two quick questions here regarding our Codesys SOFTMOTION CNC package:

1) I know that we have 4 axes limitation per kinamatics, but I would like to know how many axes per gantry within a kinematics. Example: can I have 4 axes and the X-axis a dual drive?

2) Does our Codesys SOFTMOTION CNC package has the Distributed Numerical Control (DNC) feature available?

Hello

The limitation is the number of programmed axes in the CNC program.
If you have a gantry with the basic function block electronic gear, you only need to program in the CNC the master axis and then you can have many slave axes
